Sweden's Sweden Democrats reshuffle MPs across parliamentary committees

The Sweden Democrats have released a new list of parliamentary committee nominations, moving several members to different committees ahead of the upcoming term.

The Sweden Democrats' affiliated media channel Riks obtained the party's latest committee nomination list, showing a series of reassignments for its parliamentarians. Oscar Sjöstedt, previously the party's economic policy spokesperson, moves from the Finance Committee to the Constitution Committee, where Ludvig Aspling, the former migration policy spokesperson, also lands. Henrik Vinge, the party's former Justice Committee chair, is nominated for the Finance Committee, while Richard Jomshof, who led the Justice Committee until February 2025, is set for the Industry Committee alongside Martin Kinnunen, the former climate policy spokesperson.

New nominations include Alexander Christiansson to Justice, Tobias Andersson to Education, and Linda Lindberg to the Social Committee. Press chief Oscar Cavalli Björkman confirmed the list is largely accurate and described the reshuffle as a natural part of the party's evolution before the new parliamentary term begins. The Riksdag will decide on committee allocations on Tuesday, followed by constituting meetings to elect chairs and vice-chairs.
