Preliminary results from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö indicate small party gains and losses, leaving the existing red-green coalitions intact.
In Stockholm, the Social Democrats slipped slightly while the Green Party made notable gains, and the Moderates also rose modestly, keeping the red-green majority unchanged. Gothenburg’s early numbers show minor adjustments with the Greens improving their standing. In Malmö, the governing coalition of Social Democrats, Liberals and Greens saw the Left Party rise, and the Greens also moved forward, while the Sweden Democrats lost ground in their stronghold of Skåne.
