Swedish job market shows rebound, led by construction and service sectors
Job postings in Sweden rose in September, with construction and service industries posting the strongest gains, signalling a possible turnaround in the labour market.
According to figures released by Jobbsafari, Sweden's job market experienced a slight uptick in advertised vacancies in September relative to the previous year. The construction and building sector led the recovery, showing the clearest improvement among all categories. Service and hospitality followed with a noticeable increase, and transport, warehousing and logistics also posted growth since the start of the year.
In contrast, health care, sales, trade and several office-based professions continued to see fewer listings. Anita Rae, the labour market chief at Jobbsafari, said the data suggest the prolonged decline has ended and may represent a stabilising trend for the Swedish economy.
