Swedish Man Charged in Lørenskog Murder Case After Years of Police Tips

A 59-year-old Swedish citizen has been formally charged with murder or complicity in the 2018 disappearance of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, following two police interrogations in Sweden.

Authorities in Norway’s Øst police district disclosed that a 59-year-old Swedish national has been charged with murder or participation in the murder of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who vanished from her Lørenskog home in 2018. The suspect was interrogated twice in Sweden after police received specific tips about him in early 2020, though those leads were not acted upon until recently. He maintains his innocence and says he has no connection to the disappearance.

He is now one of four men under investigation, including the “crypto-man” and two others tied to a stolen passport, all of whom also deny any role. Earlier, Anne-Elisabeth’s husband, Tom Hagen, was arrested in 2020 and later cleared in October 2024. The investigation remains open, focusing on individuals and networks observed near the crime scene.
