Swedish squad isolates five players ahead of Bosnia Nations League clash
Sweden's football team has isolated five members after a disease outbreak, leaving them unavailable for the upcoming Nations League match in Bosnia.
The Swedish national side confirmed that Benjamin Nygren, Yasin Ayari, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Wålemark and Stroud were placed in isolation following a sickness surge. All five will miss Friday's away game against Bosnia-Hercegovina in Sarajevo. Ayari, Nygren and Wålemark featured in the 3-1 win over Poland, while Lagerbielke was already dealing with an injury and Stroud remained an unused substitute. Sweden will travel later today and will also be without the five for the subsequent fixture against Romania.
Why it matters
Missing five players could weaken Sweden's performance in crucial Nations League matches.
