Swiss carriers boost autumn routes and add new long-haul service
Edelweiss will expand capacity on several holiday routes in October, while SWISS launches nonstop Zurich-Bengaluru flights and EasyJet adds new European services.
Edelweiss is set to raise capacity on a range of summer holiday routes beginning in October, deploying an Airbus A340 to Gran Canaria on Fridays and Sundays from October 27, and using an A340-300 for Monday flights to Tenerife and Saturday flights to Rhodes. Additional capacity upgrades include an Airbus A350 on Saturday Heraklion services and more flights with larger planes to Mallorca. Meanwhile, SWISS will inaugurate a nonstop Zurich-Bengaluru service on October 28, operating five days a week except Mondays and Wednesdays. EasyJet will expand its European schedule from October, offering daily Zurich-Pristina flights from the 26th, Geneva-Rennes flights on Mondays and Fridays starting October 31, and Milan Linate-Geneva flights on weekdays and Sundays from October 25.
