On Monday in Bern, Green parliamentarian Clarence Chollet presented a motion to establish a parliamentary commission of inquiry (CEP) into the F-35 fighter jet purchase. The move follows a management commission report that confirmed no fixed price was negotiated with the United States. Greens argue the CEP is the only tool to force needed reforms in the Federal Department of Defence. They contend the existing report already highlights serious shortcomings but does not provide new facts.
