Swiss Socialist Party to launch income-based health premium initiative on Tuesday

On Tuesday, when federal health premiums for 2027 are presented, the Socialist Party plans to introduce its own initiative that would link premiums to individuals' earnings. The proposal will be submitted to the Federal Chancellery for validation before a signature collection campaign begins later this year. A committee, which will also include partner organisations, will oversee the effort, though its composition has not yet been disclosed. Samuel Bendahan, a Vaud National Council member and leader of the Socialist group, is slated to join the committee.
