Switzerland moves to buy French-Italian air defence system after Patriot delays
Switzerland has launched a second air-defence purchase to replace delayed U.S. Patriot deliveries, targeting a French-Italian system under the codename Bodluv GR 2.
Facing a shortfall in its air-defence capability, the Swiss government is initiating a new procurement to acquire a Franco-Italian system. Defence Minister Martin Pfister has already set the acquisition process in motion. The project, labeled Bodluv GR 2, is intended to fill the gap left by postponed Patriot deliveries from the United States.
