Sydney Christian pastors receive death threats after home address was posted online

Late Thursday night, a crowd of people wearing hoodies and identified as LGBTQ activists stood outside the home of Christian pastors Andrew and Noleen Sedra in Sydney, repeatedly pounding the front door and shouting violent insults. The Sedras, leaders at Echo Church known for outspoken criticism of homosexuality, abortion and Islam, said the mob also threatened their relatives, Martin and Millicent Sedra, who are prominent Christian figures.

According to video posted by Andrew, the aggressors cut the house’s electricity, tried to force entry, and named the family’s newborn baby while issuing death threats. The Sedras reported that the incident followed an online leak of their address and that the attackers appeared to know each family member by name. They have contacted Australian police and are seeking protective measures while thanking God for continued protection. The family asked the public to keep them in prayer as they consider next steps.
