Sydney woman sentenced for manslaughter after dismembering abusive husband

In a Greenacre home, Nirmeen Noufl stabbed her husband Mamdouh during an alleged physical attack and subsequently used a circular saw to dismember his body, scattering the pieces in garbage bins throughout Bexley and Chullora. Prosecutors dropped the murder charge after a plea agreement acknowledging the abuse, resulting in a manslaughter conviction. Justice Peter Hamill handed down a six-year-nine-month sentence, retroactively applied to her October 2024 arrest, which sets a non-parole period of three years and makes her eligible for parole in October 2027.
