Taylor Swift and Lyle Lovett Join Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame
Taylor Swift was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Lyle Lovett and several other writers at a gala in Nashville.
At the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala, Taylor Swift received her second hall of fame induction, joining Lyle Lovett, Shawn Camp, Lee Thomas Miller, Bruce Channel and the late J.I. Allison. Swift recalled signing her first publishing contract on Music Row at 14 and highlighted how Nashville’s songwriting craft enabled her to move across musical genres.
Brad Paisley introduced her, joking about a 2007 prank that filled her tour bus with crickets, and Lainey Wilson performed a bluegrass version of Swift’s "Love Story." George Strait was honored with the Career Maker Award for his long-standing support of songwriters. Lovett thanked mentors in his speech, while Camp and Miller were noted for their hit collaborations with major country artists. The event celebrated the contributions of both contemporary and classic songwriters to Nashville’s music heritage.
