Taylor Swift used Instagram to announce her upcoming single “Patient Zero,” slated for release on September 25, and opened a 24-hour pre-order window on her official site. Three physical CD editions are offered - one outlet track, a piano version, and an acoustic version - each costing $3.99 and showcasing unique black-outfit photos with trims in sparkling black, orange, or blue. The announcement was accompanied by a countdown timer and a satin-red curtain backdrop with gold sparkles.

This release follows her 2025 album “The Life of a Showgirl,” her twelfth studio effort that debuted in October 2025. Swift’s recent personal milestones include her marriage to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, celebrated with a private ceremony at Madison Square Garden in July. The couple continues to appear together at Chiefs games, including the September 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
