Teacher fatally shot at Osmaniye high school amid rising school-gun incidents

In Osmaniye’s Çardak village, a teacher named M.B. was shot dead on the grounds of Farabi Anadolu High School, according to Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti. The alleged shooter, identified by the initials A.B., used an illegal gun and was taken into custody, with authorities also seizing a firearm thought to be the murder weapon. Reports indicate the suspect is the teacher’s nephew and that a previous disagreement may have motivated the attack.

The governor emphasized that a thorough judicial investigation is underway. This tragedy occurs shortly after a 13-year-old was caught with a shotgun near another school and a 15-year-old opened fire with a hunting rifle outside a high school in Manisa, injuring eleven people.
