Teen arrested for toppling Flock Safety camera in Temecula
An 18-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly cutting down a Flock Safety surveillance camera in Temecula and loading it into a vehicle.
Police in Temecula responded to a tip about a Flock Safety camera being chopped down and taken away, and a witness supplied the vehicle’s license plate. The information allowed officers to locate Andrew Anderson’s residence, where he was arrested and charged with grand theft and felony vandalism. The dismantled camera was retrieved and will be sent back to Flock Safety.
Anderson’s case comes shortly after Nathan Ceballos, a Palm Desert resident, was arrested for threatening a contractor and damaging a replacement camera, as well as for possessing illicit videos of minors. Ceballos remains jailed on multiple felony counts. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office warned that tampering with these devices can result in serious felony charges.
