Teen charged after man knocked unconscious in rock-throwing incident at Hungry Jacks car park

An incident at a Hungry Jacks drive-through in the Falcon area of Mandurah involved a group of teenagers confronting a 25-year-old man who had stepped in to shield restaurant staff. The youths began hurling rocks, and one projectile struck the man, causing him to tumble face-first onto the tarmac and become unconscious. Emergency services transported him to Peel Health Campus, where he received treatment for severe facial injuries and was later discharged, though doctors say his recovery will be prolonged.

Police footage, later shared on social media, showed at least six juveniles surrounding the victim while recording the event on their phones. Acting senior sergeant Jamie Raper described the video as “very horrific,” urged the community to avoid direct involvement in such fights, and announced that a 14-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, with further investigations into other youths ongoing.
