Teen classmate charged with murder of fellow student Irene Sofiya in Batu Pahat
A 16-year-old student in Batu Pahat was formally charged with murdering classmate Irene Sofiya Mohd Khairool Faisal at the local magistrate’s court.
The teenage suspect, a Form Four peer of the victim, appeared before magistrate Mustaqim Sukarno, who read the murder charge. He indicated understanding by nodding, but no plea was entered because murder cases are transferred to the High Court. The case follows the killing of Irene Sofiya earlier this month.
