Teen detained in Ukraine for allegedly delivering lethal methadone to soldiers

Ukrainian police say they arrested a 17-year-old girl in Zhytomyr who, for about US$111, sent methadone-laced “free drugs” to soldiers, killing two.

Authorities in Zhytomyr apprehended a teenage girl suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence to poison Ukrainian troops. Police claim she packaged methadone-containing substances and distributed them via Telegram after receiving at least 5,000 hryvnias. Two soldiers who consumed the drugs have died. The case adds to ongoing accusations by both sides of using minors for sabotage during the war.
