Teen dies and another critically injured after e-bike hits parked car in Taunton

A 16-year-old was killed and another teen seriously hurt when their electric motorbike struck a stationary car at a traffic light on Haydon Road in Taunton, Somerset.

Around 10:20 pm on Thursday, two 16-year-old boys riding an electric motorbike crashed into a stationary car at the Haydon Road traffic lights in Taunton, Somerset. The impact killed one of the teenagers instantly, and the second was transported by air ambulance to a hospital where he remains in critical condition. Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation and are seeking the electric motorbike, which was not recovered at the scene. A specially-trained officer will provide support to the deceased’s family. The crash follows other recent teen-related road incidents in the area.
