Teen drone operator charged in alleged second gangland murder scheme

An 18-year-old identified as Jimmy Schulz has been indicted for conspiring to murder a person associated with the Haouchar crime family, after police allege he conducted drone surveillance for a second planned hit. Earlier this month he faced murder charges for a mistaken-identity shooting that killed Joshua Macdonald, after a drone he operated was used in the attack. On September 11, Schulz was detained alongside 19-year-old Ratu Viliame James Koroitamana, who was charged with driving while disqualified and participation in a criminal group.

Authorities also charged former physical-education teacher Ashleigh Ann Seeney, accusing her of maintaining constant contact with the teens and providing intel on police activity. Detective Superintendent Jason Box said the intended victim had been repeatedly warned about threats due to his criminal connections. The alleged scheme is believed to stem from an internal power struggle within the Haouchar family, which previously ran a multi-billion-dollar drug, weapons and tobacco network. Both Schulz and Seeney remain in custody awaiting court appearances.
