Teen falls from cliff in Aurangabad; parents also tumble into quarry

An 18-year-old slipped off a cliff at Khavyda Dongar in Aurangabad, and his father and mother subsequently fell into the same quarry, killing all three.

Around 10 a.m. an 18-year-old reached the upper part of Khavyda Dongar following a family argument and stood close to the precipice. Police, fire-brigade personnel, relatives and nearby residents spent nearly three hours urging him to step back from the dangerous edge. Despite repeated pleas, the teen continued moving along the cliff.

At approximately 1 p.m. he slipped and fell into a deep stone quarry. His father immediately reached out to rescue him but lost his footing and fell too, and the mother, who saw the incident, subsequently plunged into the quarry. The three family members died as a result of the fall.
