Teen indicted for sexual assault faces strict monitoring if granted bond

KJ Biermann, the 15-year-old son of reality-TV personality Kim Zolciak, has been indicted on seven serious charges stemming from an alleged assault at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia. Former prosecutor Lindsay Richards, who is not involved in the case, predicts that if a judge grants bond, the teen will be subject to GPS monitoring, house arrest and mandatory home-based education. She also noted the possibility of required therapy and educational programs before trial, and expects prosecutors to seek adult prosecution.

The defense, led by Jason Sheffield, asserts Biermann’s complete innocence and cites a polygraph test that showed no deception on relevant questions. Biermann remains detained at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on September 8.
