Teen on e-scooter struck by car during live broadcast of child fatality in Poland

A 14-year-old girl riding an e-scooter was hit by a car while a TV crew reported on a separate child's death in Kościerzyna, Poland.

In Kościerzyna, Poland, a TV crew was live-reporting the fatal crushing of a three-year-old boy by a car when a 14-year-old girl on an e-scooter crossed the road and was hit by another vehicle. The collision sent her through the car’s windshield and into the air before she landed on the road. The driver initially fled, prompting the reporter to request a close-up of the licence plate for police use, then the driver returned minutes later, appearing shocked.

Paramedics assessed the girl’s injuries as not serious and took her to hospital for checks, while police began investigating the crash. The earlier incident involving the boy resulted in his death despite resuscitation attempts by firefighters and paramedics.
