Teen prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi dazzles Siraj with three boundaries in Duleep final

East Zone began the Duleep Trophy final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhimanyu Easwaran at the crease, building on a partnership forged in earlier knockout matches. The 15-year-old reached a quick 20 runs before confronting senior pacer Mohammed Siraj in the seventh over, where he produced a cut for four, a six over long-off, and another four on a full delivery. Siraj, fresh from a Test series against Sri Lanka, could not settle and finished his first five overs conceding 41 runs without a wicket.

Sooryavanshi’s innings ended in the 15th over, caught by left-arm bowler Chama Milind for 44. At the time of reporting, East Zone were 125/1 after 20 overs, with Easwaran unbeaten on 70 and Shikhar Mohan on 10.
