Teen's mother thanks Prime Minister Modi for clemency and asks him to adopt daughter

A video showing a Noida teenager using profane language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a protest in Delhi's Jantar Mantar spread widely online, leading to her arrest and the registration of a zero FIR in Noida, later moved to the Parliament Street police station. Modi publicly appealed for leniency, asking that the youths not be punished, which the girl's mother hailed as a life-changing act of forgiveness. Speaking to PTI, the mother thanked the prime minister, calling him the nation's "raja" and pleading that he adopt her 15-year-old daughter to secure her future.

She also asked authorities to withdraw the FIR, noting it incorrectly listed the girl's age, and highlighted the online abuse her family endured after the clip circulated. The mother urged the government to tighten protections for minors, suggesting bans on Instagram and Facebook for children and restricting their participation in protests. The teenager later posted an apology video, saying she was influenced by others at the rally and that it was her "first and last mistake."
