Teen Sentenced to Youth Detention for Stabbing Teacher at Welsh School

In February, a 15-year-old student attacked teacher Vicki Williams with a knife at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire, prompting a police lockdown. He was later found guilty of wounding with intent but not of attempted murder. At Swansea Crown Court, Judge Paul Thomas KC handed down a sentence of four and a half years in youth detention, noting that the teacher’s survival was due to sheer luck.

The court heard that the attacker had brought the knife to school with the intention to cause serious harm. Following the event, the school released a statement reassuring parents and staff that the campus remains safe and that support services are being provided. Authorities continue to work with the local community to address the aftermath.
