Teen stabbed on Eastbourne seafront remains in critical condition as police hunt suspects

Police were called to a serious assault on the Eastbourne seafront shortly after 5 pm on Sunday, near the junction of Elms Avenue and Cavendish Place on Grand Parade. Responders discovered a 13-year-old boy who had suffered injuries consistent with a stabbing and were forced to rush him to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening state. A cluster of youths was observed fleeing the area, prompting detectives to launch a search for the suspects.
Sussex Police said they will maintain a heightened presence in the neighbourhood while inquiries continue. They have appealed to the public for any evidence, such as CCTV, mobile-phone or dash-cam recordings, to aid the investigation.
