Teen suspect in Texas charged after allegedly stabbing pregnant woman in the face

Authorities in Texas have filed aggravated assault charges against a 19-year-old woman who is alleged to have stabbed a pregnant woman in the face, as well as her arms and hands, after an invitation to her home. The victim was transported to a medical facility where she received treatment for injuries that are not life-threatening and is expected to survive. Court documents suggest the suspect may also be pregnant at the time of the incident.

During the hearing, a judge referenced a prior accusation that the suspect had attacked a different pregnant woman, a case that was later dismissed following completion of an anger-management program. Neighbors described the neighborhood as typically quiet, expressing shock at the reported violence. The suspect faces charges for intentionally causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
