Around 1:40 am on Saturday night, a barrage of gunfire hit the terrace of a bar-restaurant in Vénissieux, a suburb of Lyon, wounding three individuals. Among the victims, an 18-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition, while another person also required medical care. The venue had previously been the target of a shooting in February.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailant fired an automatic weapon before fleeing the scene on an electric scooter. The public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation under the Division de la criminalité organisée et spécialisée (DCOS) of Rhône, charging the case as attempted homicide committed by an organized gang. No link to local drug trafficking has been confirmed, and authorities have not provided an update on the teenager's condition.
