A group of teenagers in Sacramento County has been recorded harassing homeless individuals, throwing objects and water bottles at them while filming for social media.
In Sacramento County, several teenagers have been captured on video assaulting people they identify as homeless, using kicks, thrown objects and water bottles to provoke a reaction for TikTok fame. The perpetrators, often hidden by hoodies, target individuals sitting on sidewalks, at bus stops or outside a Safeway, then quickly run away after the attack. Victims, including Chip Stockton and a man near a van, described the incidents as assault and battery.
Angel Melendez, a nearby worker, said the teens have become a nuisance for local businesses. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it has seen the videos but reports no filed complaints. Social media reaction has been overwhelmingly negative, with users denouncing the cruelty and warning the teens of potential consequences.
