Temasek to Open Strategic Offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi by 2027

Temasek announced plans to establish new offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in the first half of 2027, creating its first physical foothold in the Middle East.

Temasek disclosed that it will launch offices in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi during the first half of 2027, marking the fund’s inaugural on-ground presence in the Middle East. The sites, subject to statutory approval, will serve as strategic hubs for the firm and some of its portfolio firms that may relocate there. The investment house sees wide-ranging prospects in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and intends to increase collaboration with Qatari partners.

It also expects the expansion to facilitate greater reach into Central Asian and African markets. CEO Dilhan Pillay cited the region’s fast-moving economic reforms and strong long-term fundamentals as a key draw, while Chia Song Hwee, head of Temasek Global Investments, said a local base will boost engagement with partners. The new offices will raise Temasek’s global footprint to 15 locations across 11 countries by 2027.

Why it matters

The new Middle East hubs will give Temasek direct access to fast-growing investment opportunities across the region and beyond.
