Temporary airspace ban imposed over parts of Oslo and Romerike for official visit
A temporary prohibition on manned aircraft and drones has been enacted over sections of Oslo and Romerike during an official visit to the capital.
Authorities have introduced a short-term flight restriction covering the Oslo 2, Romerike 1 and Romerike 2 zones. The ban, which also applies to drones, began on Tuesday at 08:00. It will remain in effect until Wednesday evening. Flights in the designated areas are only permitted with special authorization, though exemptions can be granted by the Oslo police district for essential public interests.
Why it matters
The ban limits air traffic to safeguard an official visit, affecting aviation and drone operators in the region.
