Ten High-Paying Careers Projected to Grow With Minimal AI Impact

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a classification that rates 213 out of 831 occupations as having low exposure to artificial intelligence, indicating that most tasks in these jobs are not yet compatible with existing AI models. From this group, twenty occupations earned a median annual salary of $75,000 or more last year, and ten are projected to grow between 2025 and 2035, including dental hygienists and certain plant operators.

Some of the higher-paying roles, such as chemical plant and system operators, are expected to experience a decline in employment during the same period. The BLS notes that low AI exposure does not imply inevitable job loss, productivity gains, or wage effects. Meanwhile, a Pew Research Center poll this year found that 71% of U.S. adults believe AI will reduce the number of jobs over the next 20 years, a rise from two years earlier. The report highlights a broader trend of increasing AI terminology in job postings and interview questions.
