Ten workers hospitalized after acid leak at Kaohsiung power plant
Ten employees were hospitalized with inhalation injuries after a mishap at the Nanpu Power Plant in Kaohsiung, one in serious condition.
Ten staff members suffered inhalation injuries while servicing a hydrochloric acid tank at Unit 4 of the gas-fired Nanpu Power Plant in Kaohsiung’s Cianjhen District. One patient remains in serious condition, the others are stable. Taiwan Power Co. said the plant continues to operate normally and an investigation has been launched.
