Tencent Music posts $1.32 billion Q2 revenue, highlights Ximalaya integration
Tencent Music Entertainment Group reported RMB 8.93 billion ($1.32 billion) in second-quarter revenue, with its newly acquired Ximalaya platform contributing $60 million.
Tencent Music Entertainment Group announced total Q2 2026 revenue of RMB 8.93 billion ($1.32 billion), marking a 5.8% increase from the prior year. Music services delivered $1.12 billion, driven by an 11% jump in revenue and an 8.1% rise in membership income to $706 million. The recently acquired long-form audio platform Ximalaya, fully consolidated after its May 18 acquisition, added $60 million to the quarter’s earnings.
Adjusted EBITDA, measured on a non-IFRS basis, climbed to $480 million and net profit to $396 million, while diluted earnings per ADS rose to RMB 1.70. Cash, equivalents and short-term investments stood at $6.52 billion, and the company bought back 43.5 million ADS for roughly $400 million. Leaders Cussion Pang and Ross Liang said the Ximalaya integration broadens reach, enriches the ecosystem, and supports future growth in music and audio entertainment.
