Tencent Video unveils first look at Warrior Cats animated series in Shenzhen

During a fan meeting in Shenzhen, Tencent Video gave attendees a preview of its Warrior Cats animated series, displaying early animation clips and a newly crafted 3D model of the main character Rusty. Director Rodrigo Blaas and Randong Studio Group executive Zhou Wang explained the creative process behind adapting the Erin Hunter books, which follow clan-based wild cats and focus on Rusty’s rise from housecat to clan leader.

A work-in-progress screening offered a glimpse of the series’ environments and character designs. Animation duties are being performed by Original Force, while A.C. Bradley serves as showrunner and Blaas directs. The production draws directly from the first novel arc, "Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin," and is slated for a 2028 launch on Tencent Video’s services throughout China and Southeast Asia.
