Terry Bradshaw reflects on faith and mortality after surviving two cancers

Terry Bradshaw appeared on William and Melanie Shatner Gretsch’s "No Time But Now" podcast to discuss his recent health battles and the spiritual questions they raised. After a 2021 bladder cancer diagnosis treated at Yale University Medical Center, an MRI later revealed a rare Merkel cell carcinoma in his neck, leading to surgery that removed 27 lymph nodes and six weeks of radiation. Bradshaw said the illnesses forced him to consider his mortality, his standing as a Christian, and his hope for heaven, while also prompting him to focus on giving his wife Tammy greater happiness and planning more travel together.

He noted that, although he knows death is inevitable, his faith gives him strength to face it with grace. The interview precedes the October 13 release of his memoir "Looking for Terry," which will explore his cancer fights, depression, faith, and his public persona. Bradshaw continues as a co-host of "one outlet NFL Sunday" for the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
