Tesla and Waymo spotted expanding robotaxi fleets in Dallas and Arizona

During a visit to Waymo's manufacturing site in Mesa, Arizona, a content creator reported seeing a minimum of 500 Ojai robotaxis undergoing sensor installation, a scale much larger than the roughly 100 units launched earlier. The same observer noted additional Ojai units on the premises without sensors. In Dallas, the creator filmed a large parking area near Love Field that contained more than 100 Tesla Cybercabs, several of which still featured steering wheels, implying they belong to the company's validation fleet rather than a commercial rollout.

Tesla's recent quarterly report confirmed that Cybercab production is underway and that road testing has begun. The creator has also identified Cybercab clusters in several other U.S. cities. Both firms are expanding physical depots to support charging, maintenance, and mapping of their autonomous fleets.
