Teva Canada announced a voluntary recall of its 150 mg Pregabalin capsules after laboratory testing identified possible sertraline contamination in two specific production lots, 100070495 and 100068913. These batches entered the Canadian market in September 2025 and carry an expiration date of July 31 2027. Health Canada cautioned that patients with a sertraline hypersensitivity could experience serious side effects, including potentially fatal anaphylactic reactions, even from minimal exposure.
The agency instructed anyone possessing the recalled medication to return it to a pharmacy without delay. Pregabalin is prescribed for neuropathic pain, while sertraline treats depression and related disorders. Teva Canada framed the recall as a precautionary step to protect public health.
