Texas woman accused of bringing child to pedophile doctor for sex in exchange for medication
Alicia Evonne Sanchez, 37, is charged with repeatedly taking a child under 14 to Dr. Kenneth Haygood’s office in Tyler, Texas, where the child was sexually abused while Sanchez remained in the room, allegedly for prescription drugs.
Alicia Evonne Sanchez, also known as Alicia Evonne Seguin, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with repeatedly bringing a child under the age of 14 to the office of Kenneth Haygood, a 56-year-old physician in Tyler, Texas, where the child was sexually assaulted while Sanchez stayed in the examination room. The child allegedly pleaded for the abuse to stop, but Haygood told the youngster that such actions were part of a doctor’s duties.
The investigation began after the child confided in a counselor that Sanchez received prescription medication, such as Adderall, from Haygood, which Sanchez claimed were for people unable to obtain them from a doctor. If convicted, Sanchez could receive a sentence ranging from 99 years to life imprisonment for continuous sexual assault of a child under 14. Haygood is already serving an eight-year term after a plea deal for assaulting two female patients, a deal that also dropped other felony charges, including alleged child assault. He lost his medical license in October 2023 and must register as a sex offender for life.
