Thai teen detained after firing multiple shots inside Kamphaeng Phet school

At approximately 2 p.m., a 15-year-old student entered a school in Kamphaeng Phet province and fired eight rounds, causing chaos as classes were changing. Teachers moved pupils to an auditorium for shelter while a security guard reported the gun was a 9 mm handgun that missed him by a narrow margin. Police and volunteer rescuers arrived, recovered spent cartridges near the entrance and a physical-education building, and detained the suspect, whose name and school were not disclosed.

No one was injured, though unverified reports mentioned a teacher’s car and a glass door being hit.
