Third body discovered in Minneapolis within three days, police continue investigation

The first victim, identified as Karen Lynn Sognesand, 56, of Maple Grove, was found Saturday evening in a wooded area close to East River Flats park along the Mississippi River.
The second set of remains was recovered on Sunday near the shoreline of Bde Maka Ska Lake, described by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as being in an advanced state of decomposition. While all three incidents have prompted a police investigation, officials have not indicated whether the cases are connected. The ongoing inquiries aim to determine the circumstances surrounding each death.
