Third body discovered in Minneapolis within three days, police continue investigation

Authorities have found a third deceased individual near the Stone Arch Bridge, adding to two other bodies located in the city over the past three days.

A body was discovered near Minneapolis' Stone Arch Bridge by the University of Minnesota Police Department, which has not released information about how the person died. This find marks the third such discovery in the city within three days. The first victim, identified as Karen Lynn Sognesand, 56, of Maple Grove, was found Saturday evening in a wooded area close to East River Flats park along the Mississippi River.

The second set of remains was recovered on Sunday near the shoreline of Bde Maka Ska Lake, described by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board as being in an advanced state of decomposition. While all three incidents have prompted a police investigation, officials have not indicated whether the cases are connected. The ongoing inquiries aim to determine the circumstances surrounding each death.
