Thirteen killed as blaze engulfs fireworks plant in Russia's Iaroslavl region
A fire at a fireworks factory in Kubrinsk, near Pereslavl-Zalesskii, killed 13 people, according to Russian emergency services.
The inferno broke out in two buildings of a fireworks manufacturing site in the village of Kubrinsk, located in the Iaroslavl region. Around 100 rescuers were dispatched to contain the flames. Local governor Mihail Evraiev confirmed the death toll of 13. Russian authorities have opened a criminal investigation into possible breaches of industrial safety rules.
