Three family members, including two children, found dead in South Auckland home
Police confirmed that three people - a 40-year-old man, his 9-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter - were discovered dead in a Papatoetoe house.
Around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to a home on Cambridge Terrace in Papatoetoe following a tip that someone had died there. Upon arrival, officers located three deceased individuals: Edward Courtenay James Neville, 40, along with his children, Hunter Neville, 9, and Dahlia Neville, 6. A neighbour reported seeing a man lying on the front steps earlier that evening, noting nothing unusual at the time.
Investigators from Counties Manukau District and its Criminal Investigation Branch are handling the case and have stated they are not searching for any additional suspects. The police have been offering wrap-around support to the victims' whānau and to shaken neighbours, who described the family as close-knit and well-known in the community.
