Three Gujarat nationals vanish en route to the US, family alleges kidnapping in Ethiopia

Rutvik Jansari, Mamta Chavda and Mayuri, all related and hailing from Gujarat, travelled to Ethiopia on September 20 as part of an illegal route to the United States arranged by agents from Mehsana and Vadodara. After September 22 they could not be contacted, prompting their relatives to allege that they were kidnapped in Ethiopia. The families report that the abductors have asked for a ransom of one crore rupees, with some money already paid.

Kiritbhai Chauhan, Mamta's father, and Kanubhai Jansari, Rutvik's grandfather, have both appealed to the government for help. A missing-person complaint was lodged at the Langhnaj police station in Mehsana district, and investigators say the trio's whereabouts remain unknown.
