Three Gujarat suspects arrested over the killing of Punjabi influencer Mad Sandhu
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad and Valsad police have taken into custody three men suspected of involvement in the October 3 murder of Punjabi influencer and makeup artist Mad Sandhu in Amritsar.
Mad Sandhu, a Punjabi social-media personality and makeup artist, was shot dead on October 3 near a car-wash centre on Loharka Road in Amritsar. The Ahmedabad Crime Branch first arrested Parminder Kaka, alleged to have fired the shots and associated with the Goldy Dhillon gang. On Saturday, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad, in coordination with Valsad police, apprehended three more suspects—Harsimranjit Singh alias Simu Singga, Fateh Singh and Arman Singh—in Vapi, Valsad district.
During questioning, investigators learned the trio had performed surveillance of the target location before the attack. A Punjab police team retrieved the detainees from the Gujarat ATS office for subsequent proceedings. Sandhu, who had a sizable Instagram following and appeared in the Punjabi film "Oye Bhole Oye," had recently attracted criticism for his content and fashion choices.
