Three killed, three injured in deadly truck-car crash near Iași, Romania
A collision between a car and a truck on the Pașcani-Brătești road in Stolniceni-Prăjescu killed a man, a woman and an eight-year-old girl, while three others were injured.
On Wednesday, a serious road accident occurred on the Pașcani-Brătești route in the commune of Stolniceni-Prăjescu, Iași County, when a car struck a truck. The car’s driver, a 20-year-old man, was found dead along with a 30-year-old female passenger and an eight-year-old girl who were riding in the vehicle. Three other occupants - two women and a minor - were treated on site for injuries.
Rescue teams deployed two specialized fire trucks with extrication equipment, ambulance crews from Pașcani and Târgu Frumos, a mobile intensive care unit from SMURD, and an SMURD helicopter. The truck driver escaped unharmed. Police have launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the collision.
