Three Maguindanao del Sur mayors hand over six high-powered guns to the army

Mayors Akmad Ampatuan, Datu Rasul Sangki and Allandatu M. Angas Sr. delivered six firearms, including a.50 caliber machine gun, to the 6th Infantry Division in Cotabato City.

In a move aimed at bolstering provincial security, the three town leaders from Shariff Aguak, Ampatuan and Sultan sa Barongis surrendered a cache of high-powered weapons to the army. Brigadier General Ricky Bunayog, acting commander of the 6th Infantry Division, received the arms at the 601st Infantry Brigade headquarters in Barangay Kamasi. The surrendered items total six firearms, among them a.50 caliber machine gun, reflecting ongoing disarmament efforts in Maguindanao del Sur.
