Three masked burglars loot Delhi home of Congress leader Alka Lamba's father, CCTV captures theft

Three masked men broke into Alka Lamba's father's house in Tagore Garden, Delhi, stealing cash and jewellery, with the raid recorded on CCTV.

A burglary took place at the home of Alka Lamba’s father in the C-Block of Tagore Garden, west Delhi, when three masked individuals entered the property in the early morning and stole cash and jewellery. The thieves took Rs 1.75 lakh in cash, a gold earring, a gold chain and a diamond ring, and escaped on a single motorcycle, as shown in CCTV recordings that have circulated on social media. Police were alerted at 10.23 am, dispatched a team, and registered an FIR at the Rajouri Garden police station based on a complaint by Kanchan Chadha.

Investigators are examining the house’s cameras and nearby footage to identify the perpetrators. Alka Lamba, who heads the All India Mahila Congress, posted on X that her 88-year-old father is safe and called for swift police action, noting that the first video link has already been handed over. The case underscores security concerns for Delhi residents.
