Three South Carolina men face sexual-related charges after Nancy Mace's accusations

South Carolina authorities charged John Douglas Osborne, Brendan Patrick Bryant and Eric Bernard Bowman with various sexual-related offenses following allegations made by Rep. Nancy Mace.

State investigators filed criminal charges against three men named by Rep. Nancy Mace in a 2025 House floor speech. John Douglas Osborne, 46, is accused of first-degree assault and battery and two third-degree criminal sexual conduct counts. Brendan Patrick Bryant, 53, Mace's former fiancé, was charged solely with voyeurism.

Eric Bernard Bowman, 46, faces voyeurism, obstruction of justice and a charge for publishing a victim's name. The alleged offenses stem from an October 26, 2018 incident on Sullivan's Island involving a 23-year-old woman who became heavily intoxicated. The men were detained at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center, and the 9th Circuit Solicitor's Office will handle the prosecution.
